The Pensions Regulator produces guidance to help improve understanding of work-based pension schemes and to promote good practice. We aim to help trustees, employers and others understand what the law requires.
We also produce guidance to describe our approach on a particular matter or to explain changes in the law.
Our guidance is designed primarily to be viewed online. We also produce some PDFs for you to download and print if you prefer.

In the first quarter of 2010 we will be examining our guidance to ensure that it remains relevant and accessible. This exercise will include work to ensure that the regulator remains compliant with the latest edition of the Government's Code of Practice on Good Guidance on Regulation. Any substantive changes to guidance would then be clearly signposted and subject to consultation - consistent with good practice under the Code.
